Kevin followed the UNC Men's basketball team ever since he was little, and dreamed of playing in Chapel Hill. Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina helped grant Kevin's wish, by making him a member of the team for a practice and sending him to one of the biggest games of the season.
Leading up to one of the biggest games in college basketball history, Kevin and his family, got to attend a University of North Carolina Basketball practice. The Tar Heels were preparing to take on the Duke Blue Devils in the days ahead and Kevin was courtside to observe the preparation.
Kevin received a private tour of the Dean Dome including sights of the home and visitor locker rooms. During practice they were able to go out on the court shake hands and meet the Tar Heels.
His mother said one of her favorite parts of the tour was having Kevin see Tyler Hansbrough's locker and also getting to experience all the behind the scenes stuff at the Dean Dome.
The evening of the big ACC rivalry game Kevin and his family arrived via limo to Cameron Indoor Stadium on Duke's Campus. When UNC came onto the court Dexter Strickland ran over to shake Kevin's hand.
"Meeting all the players and Coach Williams was pretty cool and so was being on the court at the Smith Center and the Dean Dome," Kevin said.
