Young Professionals

The purpose of Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina’s Young Professionals is to engage dynamic individuals who are passionate about our mission. As a significant resource to our Board, CEO, and Staff, members will act as community advocates for our chapter by raising awareness, hosting social and professional development events, and fundraising.

Members are asked to commit on a yearly basis, renewing their membership every September. Each member is expected to support the chapter through the following actions during the course of their yearly term:

  • Give a suggested minimum donation of $100 (Given all at once or drafted in 12 increments)
  • Raise a minimum of $1,000 through various fundraising efforts. Examples include:
    • Setting up a Friends & Family fundraising page
    • Hosting an individual event or campaign
    • Obtaining a sponsorship for the Young Professionals’ annual event
    • Participating in another Make-A-Wish event (i.e. Trailblaze Challenge or Wish Ball)
  • Advocate for Make-A-Wish by sharing the mission, promoting events and encouraging others to give to the chapter
  • Attend at least 75% of the group's meetings throughout their term
  • Participate in one of the three committees and attend as many committee meetings as possible:
    • Event Committee
    • Fundraising Committee
    • Social Committee
