Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina is dependent on our team of generous volunteers who serve on our behalf as leaders and representatives to help fulfill the mission of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions in eastern North Carolina.

Volunteering is a great way to impact the life of a child. We invite you to share the power of a wish® sarah-and-brenda.jpgwhether you can give a few hours each month or a few days each year.  You can help make the wishes of children come true in your local community! Below are several ways to get involved:

Wish Granting Volunteers
- Able to see first-hand how a child’s most cherished dream becomes a reality
- Partners up with one other Wish Granting volunteer to be the liaison between the familiy & the office
- Visits with the family to interview the wish child to help determine the wish
- Obtains required paperwork from the parents/legal guardians
- Time commitment of about 10-15 hours over 6 to 18 month period (depending on wish)
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Event Volunteer
- Assist with Make-A-Wish events or fundraisers where proceeds directly benefit our wish kids
- Time commitment is typically a 3-hour shift minimum per event
- Must be 14 years of age or older

Fundraising Volunteer
- Helps to identify potential donors
- Actively participate in cultivating relationships and soliciting funds
- Encouraged to organize a community fundraising event
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Office Volunteer
- Assists with special projects, mailings, answering phones, and other related activities
- Must be available during regular office hours, 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Office is located in Morrisville (Raleigh-Durham area, minutes from RDU airport)
- Must be 18 years of age or older

Kids for Wish Kids Volunteers
- A program that encourages children under the age of 18 to support our chapter
- Great for schools, youth groups, clubs, etc. to support our mission by hosting a fundraising event
- Must be 17 years of age or younger
