Sensus, a Raleigh-based public service infrastructure solutions provider, is helping to make wishes come true for children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. The company raised a record $57,000 at its annual Charity Golf Tournament held on September 12th at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course at North Carolina State University. The tournament has raised more than $180,000 since it began four years ago.
“Through their continued support, Sensus has made a significant impact upon our mission,” said Bob Frazier, Vice President of Development for Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina. “We are able to provide unforgettable memories and experiences for our wish families as a result of this partnership with the Sensus family.”
During this past year, Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina granted 200 wishes, representing more than one wish every other day. With the average cost of a wish at $7,500, the Sensus donation will go a long way towards putting smiles on faces of children and their families.
“This tournament is a natural fit for our ongoing efforts to help communities reach farther—from providing reliable water and energy to granting wishes,” said Todd Boyle, Chief Human Resources Officer at Sensus. “It reminds our employees, customers and partners of the profound impact a granted wish has on a family and how important it is to actively engage in the community.”
