In conjunction with its “Make-A-Wish Week” fundraising campaign, The UPS Store will donate $10,000 to Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina during a check presentation scheduled at its Cary Stone Creek Village location on Thursday, September 11. Wish kid Alex, who recently received his wish to go to Walt Disney World during Star Wars weekend, will be in attendance. All media are invited to attend the check presentation event which begins at 4 pm.
“We’re honored to support an organization that celebrates life and creates lasting memories for so many families affected by life-threatening medical conditions,” said Bill Soeters, owner of The UPS Store in Carrboro. “We like to provide a helping hand and help continue to make a positive impact on our neighborhoods and our communities.”
Between September 8 – 14, more than 40 eastern North Carolina The UPS Store locations will celebrate “Make-A-Wish” Week by raising funds for Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina. During the seven-day campaign, customers are asked to make monetary donations at The UPS Store locations.
