The Sanford Area Society of Shaggers (SASS)
will host its 25th Annual Shaggin’ in the Sandhills
to benefit Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina. 50% of proceeds will help grant wishes to local children with life-threatening medical conditions. The remaining 50% will be donated to local charities designated by the Sanford Area Society of Shaggers.
“Shaggin’ in the Sandhills” begins at 7 pm on Saturday, March 22 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center and includes music from Jim Quick and Coastline, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Sanford Area Society of Shaggers (SASS)
is a nonprofit organization based in Sanford, North Carolina whose primary function is to promote activities which are associated with shag music and dance. SASS is a member of the ACSC (Association of Carolina Shag Clubs) and has 96 current members. SASS is a very people and community oriented club, participating in many local events and fundraisers for local Sanford and Lee County charities as well as a Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina.
