will help make Ellery’s wish to shop in New York City a reality on Thursday, June 19. The 17-year-old from Pasquotank County who has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia will receive the full red-carpet, celebrity treatment including a private chartered flight courtesy of Lord Corporation
Ellery’s wish experience kicks off on Wednesday, June 18 with a wish party at Holland’s Jewelers
in Apex where owner Ginny Sears
will make a special gift presentation. Ellery and her family will arrive via limousine at the airport on Thursday morning where she will be whisked off to New York. During the flight, she will enjoy a hair and make-up session all while travelling at 30,000 feet. Once in New York, a personal shopper will escort Ellery during her visit to Macy’s.
Jewelers for Children (JFC) has been a sponsor of the Make-A-Wish since 1999, helping bring the renewal and inspiration of a Make-A-Wish experience to more than 1,375 children with life-threatening medical conditions. Through its Wish A State program, JFC has donated more than $9.5 million to wish kids across the country. JFC is funded through support from manufacturers and retailers in the jewelry industry, including members of Jewelers of America (JA) and regional/state association members nationwide.
