Balfour Beatty Construction, the fifth-largest general builder in the nation, held its 2014 Golf Classic on April 21 at MacGregor Downs Country Club, raising $23,000 to benefit Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina. Proceeds from the 64-team tournament will help grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
“Through the 2014 Golf Classic, Balfour Beatty will make an immediate and lasting impact in the lives of children and their families during a time of great need,” said Johnny Rankin, Executive Vice President at Balfour Beatty Construction. “We’re proud to continue our partnership with a worthy organization like Make-A-Wish, an outstanding and trusted charity that brings hope and joy to children right here in our community.”
“Last year alone, our chapter granted a record 190 wishes to children in our region,” said Kristen Johnson, President and CEO for Make-A-Wish® Eastern North Carolina. “The support from Balfour Beatty Construction and the 2014 Golf Classic truly helps make these wishes come true.”
