Donation will help support annual Season of Wishes® campaign
MORRISVILLE, N.C. (November 25, 2013) — Nomacorc, the world’s leading producer of alternative wine closures, announced that its “Wine for Wishes” event held on October 3rd to benefit Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina raised $10,980. This donation will be used to help grant wishes during the chapter’s annual Season of Wishes campaign. More than 30 wishes representing 19 counties of eastern North Carolina will be granted before the end of the calendar year.
“We truly enjoyed hosting this event to raise money and awareness for such a worthy cause,” said Lars von Kantzow, President and CEO of Nomacorc. “Our employees really got behind this effort because it is so easy to see the direct benefit of how these funds are put to use, providing life-changing experiences for children right here in our local community.”
“Wine for Wishes” which was held at the Nomacorc facilities in Zebulon featured a private tour, wine tasting with paired hors d’oeuvres and presentation from Chatham Hill winery. More than 100 area wine enthusiasts and invited guests also participated in a raffle that included a three-day, two-night trip to California’s wine country.
“We are overwhelmed by the support of Nomacorc and everyone who made ‘Wine for Wishes’ so successful,” said Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina President and CEO Kristen Johnson. “Currently, there is a tremendous need in our 49-county region and with the help of business leaders like Nomacorc, we are closer to meeting this demand.”
