MORRISVILLE, N.C. (November 1, 2013) —Mori Luggage & Gifts
has partnered with Make-A-Wish®
to help make more wishes come true for children battling life-threatening illnesses. From November 1-November 30, 2013, all 29 Mori Luggage & Gifts retail stores throughout Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee will be collecting airline miles that will be used to help grant travel wishes for local children.
Mori will be working with nine Make-A-Wish chapters across these six states to reach their goal of raising 5 million miles for wishes across the United States. Participating airline carriers include: Delta, United/Continental, and US Airways. With 74% of all wishes granted requiring air travel, Make-A-Wish would need more than 2.5 billion miles, or 50,000 round-trip tickets, to cover every travel wish each year.
One hundred percent of the donated miles will be used for wish granting, allowing every traveler to become a part of a child’s life-affirming wish. Participants can donate airline miles by visiting any participating Mori Luggage & Gifts retail store or by using this specialized link: http://tinyurl.com/moriwishesinflight.
“We are honored to be the first retailer to partner with Make-A-Wish to promote the Wishes in Flight program,” said John Mori, president of Mori Luggage & Gifts. “Many of our customers are frequent travelers, and we believe they will be very supportive of this effort to help families in need.”
